About the Role:
We are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join our dynamic team, reporting to the Finance Manager. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing financial operations, maintaining accuracy in accounts, and supporting key business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage robust Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
- Reconcile invoices and ensure compliance with company approval policies
- Perform accurate data entry and maintain financial records
- Prepare, reconcile, and process sales and COGS journals
- Process supplier payments, sales, and receipts efficiently
- Coordinate and execute EFT payment runs
- Assist with bank reconciliations and coding bank statements
- Support month-end closing procedures, including balance sheet reconciliations
- Contribute to weekly bank variance reporting and cash-flow analysis
- Provide financial insights to support business decisions
About You:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance
- Proficiency in Xero and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel essential)
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
