Waters Excavations is seeking an experienced Civil Construction Surveyor to join their dedicated team. As a construction surveyor, you support supervisors in delivering projects and providing accurate survey setouts and machine control designs to guide the construction work.
You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, ensuring the correct information is always available to the team and recorded for quality assurance deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up calibration files for projects using provided control points for localisation.
- Set up machine control files for precise excavation, grading and alignment of construction elements.
- Utilise Trimble total stations, GNSS receivers, drones and other survey equipment for accurate data collection and layout.
- Set out tasks for structure, kerbing, pavements, roads, and drainage systems.
- Conduct land surveys.
- Process survey data using Trimble Business Center, AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Agisoft Metashape.
- Operate drones for site scanning, topographical mapping, and volumetric surveys.
Requirements:
- Mathematical aptitude.
- Good computer skills.
- Current driver’s license.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans/drawings/specifications.
- Ability to work independently and follow through on tasks with minimal direction.
This role requires a strong technical background, an excellent understanding of surveying principles, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
