ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a qualified Enrolled Nurse to work at our BreastScreen Service in Geelong. Working 24 hours per week, across 3 days - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. This roll is a primarily a combined Data Administrator/ Medical Receptionist role, with clinical nursing duties as required throughout the day to supporting the dedicated nursing team.
As the face of the company you will be providing high standards of services to our patients by maintaining accurate BreastScreen results and information that makes a difference in the most common cancer among females and the second most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia.
• Represent Lake Imaging as the first impression of the practice as you meet and greet patients.
• Answering incoming calls in a proficient, timely and professionally welcoming manner.
• Quality checking and processing of client and clinical information.
• Timely provision of BreastScreen results.
• Process, file and retrieval of confidential data generated by screening sites (BS1 QA, Abbyy verifications – BSV specific work).
• Image transfer to referring Doctor's and specialists.
• BreastScreen specific medical typing (training provided).
• Providing nursing care to our patients and assistance to technical staff and Radiologists during procedures
• Prepare, monitor, and oversee the recovery of patients undergoing a variety of interventional procedures, during and post procedure.
ABOUT YOU 👸
• Medical Administration exposure
• Interpersonal skills in order to show patients care, compassion and empathy
• Understanding of medical imaging terminology
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Enjoy working autonomously as well as part of a team
• Excellent keyboard skills for data entry into RIS system
• Enrolled Nurse with current APHRA Registration.
• IV Cannulation experience preferred.
• Advanced CPR Life Support preferred, but not essential.
• Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations with your amazing problem-solving skills.
