Role: Full-Time Motor Mechanic

Salary: $74,000 – $76,000 + Superannuation

Your Role in the Workshop

As a Motor Mechanic, you’ll take the wheel in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a range of light vehicles — working with precision, speed, and care. Your day-to-day will include:

1. Performing routine services and mechanical repairs on petrol and diesel vehicles

2. Diagnosing and troubleshooting faults using both manual and electronic tools

3. Conducting safety inspections, road tests, and adjustments to ensure vehicles meet performance standards

4. Dismantling engines and components to assess and repair mechanical issues

5. Reassembling and testing components, including engines, brakes, transmissions, and suspension systems

6. Replacing and aligning steering, braking, and drivetrain components

7. Logging service records and ensuring compliance with workplace safety and manufacturer guidelines

Maintaining tools, machinery, and a clean, organised workspace

What We’re Looking For

1. Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent

2. At least 2–3 years of practical experience in a motor mechanic role

3. Familiarity with OBD diagnostic tools, scan tools, and service software

4. Sound knowledge of vehicle systems — from engines and gearboxes to brakes and cooling systems

5. A proactive, solution-oriented mindset and great attention to detail

6. A genuine passion for the motor industry and commitment to quality workmanship

7. Valid driver’s licence (manual preferred)
