CARLINGFORD MECHANICAL is a trusted and established auto workshop in Carlingford, NSW, known for reliable service, expert mechanical care, and a loyal customer base. We're currently looking for an experienced and motivated Motor Mechanic to join our friendly, professional team.

๐ Key Responsibilities:
- Full Vehicle Servicing: Perform comprehensive logbook and general services across a range of vehicle makes and models.
- Diagnosis and Troubleshooting: Identify mechanical, electrical, and performance-related issues using diagnostic tools and your own technical insight.
- Mechanical Repairs: Carry out repairs on engines, transmissions, braking systems, clutches, radiators, steering, and suspension systems.
- Brake and Clutch Replacements: Replace pads, rotors, hydraulics, and clutch kits as required, ensuring roadworthiness and safety.
- Cooling and Exhaust Systems: Inspect and repair radiators, water pumps, exhaust systems, and related components.
- Routine Maintenance: Replace filters, belts, fluids, spark plugs, tyres, and batteries as part of regular service schedules.
- Road Test Vehicles: Perform post-repair test drives to ensure issues are fully resolved and vehicles perform safely.
- Customer Interaction: Explain faults and repair needs in a clear, honest, and friendly manner (when required).
- Workshop Standards: Keep your work area organised, clean, and compliant with health and safety guidelines.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with the rest of the team to ensure a smooth workflow and top-notch service delivery.

You Bring:
- Hands-On Experience: Proven experience in general automotive service, diagnostics, and repairs (minimum 1 year preferred).
- Diagnostic Skills: Solid ability to identify issues through both manual and computer-aided diagnostics.
- Qualifications: Certificate in Automotive Diagnosis or similar (highly regarded but not mandatory)
- Wide Vehicle Knowledge: Familiarity with a wide variety of vehicles.
- Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to inspections and repairs, with zero tolerance for shortcuts.
- Punctuality and Responsibility: You arrive on time, take accountability, and finish tasks reliably.
- Work Ethic: Self-motivated and able to handle tasks independently without constant supervision.
- Team Attitude: A collaborative mindset that helps create a supportive and efficient workshop environment.
- Customer Focus: A friendly, respectful, and service-oriented approach when dealing with clients.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to handle tools, parts, and vehicles safely and efficiently throughout the day.
